BEAUMONT, Texas — The Beaumont Police Department Special Response Team conducted a city-wide operation on Wednesday, October 23.
The operation focused on high-crime areas and maintaining security at voting polls throughout the city. The operation aimed to ensure public safety, high visibility, and law enforcement presence throughout the city.
During the operation, officers interacted with numerous citizens, resulting in 87 calls for service and 64 traffic stops. This led to 24 arrests, which included charges for resisting arrest, possession of controlled substances, county warrant arrests and numerous city warrant arrests.
The total outstanding value of city warrants cleared during the operation totaled $19,893.89.
