BEAUMONT, Texas — The City of Beaumont has named Amalia “Molly” Villarreal as interim Public Works Director.
This comes after the resignation of Bart Bartkowiak who accepted a position as the City Manager of Bridge City.
Villarreal joined the City of Beaumont over 14 years ago as a Water Utilities Engineer and has served as the City Engineer since January 2020.
In October 2024, she took on the additional role of Assistant Public Works Director.
Villarreal will assume her interim duties January 3rd and the application process will begin right away to fill the position permanently, according to a City of Beaumont news release.
