A Beaumont man was shot several times in the legs during a dice game early Saturday morning.
Beaumont police responded to the 5080 Helbig Rd. at 1:39 a.m.
Beaumont police said the 26-year-old suspect fired multiple shots at the victim then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be released today.

Saturday, January 20th, 2018, at approximately 1:39 am, officers responded to 5080 Helbig Rd(Plymouth Village), in reference to a victim of a shooting. The victim was located and identified as a 23 year old Beaumont man. Witnesses told officers there was a disturbance over a small dice game at the rear of the complex. The suspect, a 26 year old Beaumont man, fired multiple shots at the victim. The victim was shot several times in the legs. The suspect fled the scene and was not located. None of the gunshot wounds were fatal and the victim is expected to be treated and released today.
