BEAUMONT, Texas — Dog lovers and their furry friends gathered to celebrate the 2024 Dogtoberfest today at "Central Bark" in downtown Beaumont.

The family-fun event took place Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the area between Julie Rogers Theatre and the Beaumont Downtown Library.

Dogtoberfest started with a "Strut Your Mutt" parade, where dogs of all breeds and sizes showed off their style.

Throughout the day, owners and their furry friends participated in a variety of activities tailored to both dogs and their humans.

Activities included paw readings, and games for children and dogs to adopt, among other paw-some activities.

Pet owners enjoyed delicious food and beverages, while kids had fun at the bounce houses.

This "pawsome" event also featured contests with winners crowned for Best Dressed Dog, Master/Dog Look-Alike and Best Tail Waggin'.
