BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont Independent School District bus was involved in wreck on Tuesday afternoon.
The wreck happened around 2:55 p.m. on Fannett Road shortly after leaving Beaumont United High School.
A truck collided with the school bus and then fled the scene, according to a BISD news release.
The Beaumont Police Department responded to the scene and is assessing the situation.
No students or staff who were on board the bus at the time of the accident were injured, according to the release.
On Monday, May 13 one person was transported to the hospital after a BISD school bus was involved in a wreck at the intersection of Ironton Avenue at Lucas Drive.
