It was announced on Beaumont Events Facebook page that a future date will be announced.

A free summer concert series is coming to the city where people can enjoy live music, food and a beautiful sunset once the concert ends.

The concert is being held Thursday, July 11, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.

The concert, held at the Event Centre, is family friendly and will feature the local band Hot Grits. Along with the live music, people will also be able to enjoy food trucks that will be available on site.

Emily Wheeler with Beaumont Events says the concert is just one event that the city holds during the summer to encourage residents to go out and enjoy the scenery.

"This summer is a great time to enjoy our city. We had our Juneteenth celebration followed by Fourth of July, now we have the sundown concert. There's always plenty to do in Beaumont, especially in downtown at the city venues and it's very rewarding to see the community come out and enjoy all the great things we have to offer," Wheeler said.

The Sundown Summer Concert is just one of the events that Beaumont holds during summer for the community.

Wheeler says the concert is one way that the city is able to show off it's best assets. If you can't make it to tonight's event, don't worry! The city is already planning its next concert.

"This summer concert series has been a favorite. It's a free show people can come out with a chair, a blanket and a picnic and then just enjoy the scenery. We will have a Jazz at the Lake Concert coming up in August and that'll kind of close out our summer series," said Wheeler.

Wheeler says that she enjoys seeing the Beaumont community come out with their family and friends.
