Beaumont firefighters respond to West End apartment fire

Several crews from Beaumont Fire Rescue are at the Regency Place Apartments on Folsom Road.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Firefighters in Beaumont are on the scene of a reported apartment fire in the city’s West End.

Several crews from Beaumont Fire Rescue responded to the Regency Place Apartments in the 5500 block of Folsom Road around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 2. 

At least one downstairs apartment unit in building 15 suffered heavy damage, Beaumont Fire-Rescue Capt. Jimmy Blanchard said.The fire spread to the unit above before firefighters put it out. 

Smoke could be seen drifting through the complex by drivers passing the apartment complex on Folsom Road. Utilities were cut off to four apartments, Blanchard said. 

Currently there are no reported injuries.

Beaumont Fire-Rescue is still investigating the cause of the fire.
