BEAUMONT, Texas — Sick puppies abandoned at Beaumont Animal Care are now being transported to a recovery center in Pearland.
On Tuesday morning, staff found the kennel of puppies at their front door, according to a Facebook post.
"As we peeked under the blanket, we could see suffering puppies inside," staff said in the post.
Staff says the worst puppy did not make it as it tested positive for parvo, a highly contagious disease that could jeopardize the remaining three puppies as well as the other puppies at the shelter.
Because of this risk, they asked for a 501(c)(3) rescue to take in the puppies.
The shelter updated their post to say some "amazing individuals" stepped up to transport the pups to Pearland Parvo Recovery Center.
