BEAUMONT, Texas — The City of Beaumont has announced a date for its annual Christmas tree lightning event.
The 6th Annual Tree Lightning ceremony takes place at the Downtown Event Centre Lake on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
The Downtown Event Centre is located at 700 Crockett St. in Beaumont.
There will be a display of lights, food trucks, fireworks, holiday movies and activities for everyone to enjoy.
NuSoul & Blacque Koffee will provide live holiday music entertainment.
The event will end with an outdoor showing of holiday films, Merry Madagascar and Mickey's Christmas Carol.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to picnic during the movies. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
The event will wrap up at 7:30 p.m.
"It’s a time when residents of Beaumont come together to spread joy and happiness, creating cherished memories and sets the tone for a joyful holiday season," city officials said in a news release.
