Children abducted out of Silsbee found safe in Arkansas, father arrested

A Child Protective Services spokesperson told 12News Tuesday that a judge granted temporary managing conservatorship of the children on January 31, 2023.

SILSBEE, Texas — An AMBER Alert has been canceled for two children abducted out of Silsbee.

Four-month-old Aiden Langford and one-year-old Aaliyah Langford were found safe in Franklin County, Arkansas on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, according to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis.

When the AMBER Alert was issued, the children had last been seen at 2100 Alexander Road in Silsbee on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11:55 p.m.

The children are in custody with Arkansas family services case workers and will be returned to Texas, according to Davis.

The father, 29-year-old Aaron Langford, was arrested for a Texas parole violation and the mother, 31-year-old Tiffany Weaver, was released at the scene.

A Child Protective Services spokesperson told 12News Tuesday that a judge granted temporary managing conservatorship of the children on January 31, 2023.

At some point, the parents fled to Arkansas, resulting in the AMBER Alert being issued.

A family member of Aaron Langford says he had seen him and the kids over the weekend.

Aaron Langford had asked for advice on fixing his van and was given bags of kids clothes.

The kids' grandmother, Debra Johnson, tells 12News she feared for the kids, knowing Aaron Langford's criminal history.

"I had million different places and I gave all the information to CPS, everyone of the places I could think of that they could be at and I just had no idea where they were," Johnson said.

A CPS spokesperson confirms they have an open investigation into the family and the kids are expected to be placed in foster care
