An Orange County jury Friday morning found Curtis Allen Garrison guilty in a 2012 double murder.

Garrison had no apparent reaction as the verdict was read in court.

The jury deliberated more than 5 hours Thursday before breaking for the day. Jury members began again Friday and quickly reached a guilty verdict, convicting him in the November 23, 2012 shooting deaths of Aaron and Summer Conn. The couple was shot to death at a home in Orange County just north of Vidor.

Garrison, who was smirking as he was escorted from the courtroom, received life in prison without the possibility of parole. He does have the right to appeal.

"(Garrison) did not deserve anything less, but I still have to say God bless his family," said Summer Conn's mother after the guilty verdict.
