FEMA command center set up to coordinate flood response

A FEMA command center has been set up at the Orange County Emergency Command Center.

The command center, which will coordinate FEMA's flood response throughout Southeast Texas, is not set up to work directly with flood victims.

FEMA is working with the state to plan disaster recovery centers throughout Southeast Texas including one in Orange County.

Residents from any county will be able to register at one of the disaster recovery centers.

if you registered with FEMA before the disaster declaration was issued on March 19th you do not have to re-register.

FEMA will NOT be registering people at this location. Flood victims should NOT go to this location.
