BAYTOWN — A woman who tossed all her clothes out the window of her car while fleeing police and then ran away naked is now in custody.
A Baytown Police officer received a call from another driver that a black car was parked horizontally on TX 146 and Massey Tompkins Road. The officer attempted a welfare check when he saw a woman get in the car and drive away at a high rate of speed, Baytown Police Detective Lance Watkins said in a news release.
The officer turned on his lights and siren but the woman refused to pull over. Then she tossed her clothing out of the driver's side window and ran through several red lights, police said.
The chase ended near just over three miles north near TX-146 and Needlepoint Road when the woman ran out of her car without any clothes on into a nearby open field and fell on the ground.
The officers told her to stay down. She did at first, but tried to get up again. More officers arrived on scene and took the woman into custody.
Attaree Milton, 26, has been charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle. Milton also has a parole violation from Austin after being charged with assault on a peace officer.
