ORANGE, Texas — An Orange County non-profit organization is asking the public to help identify a suspect caught on a surveillance camera stealing from their donation box.

The Friends Helping Friends Board President Rita Bonnin Monson posted a security video showing a man stealing donations around 3 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 from their donation box located at 2112 35th Street on their Facebook page.

The crime can be watched here

Friends Helping Friends operates a thrift shop and the money helps seniors with utilities, food, clothing, medical supplies and other needs.

"If anyone recognizes this man or vehicle please let me know. This donation came in at 10 pm and he showed up at 3 am. My daughter had been there at 8:30 and brought in donations. We monitor and take care of all donations that come in at a time we can get to them. He didn’t get much but if we can identify him then the police can at least put a note trespassing on him and arrest him if he comes back," Monson said.

If you recognize the man, please call Friends Helping Friends at 409-882-9717.
