BEAUMONT, Texas — Two Beaumont men have been indicted for the murder of a 57-year-old Beaumont man in September.
Romeo Johnson, 36 and Brandon Dodd, 39, both of Beaumont, were indicted on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the murder of Ronald Barnes, 57, on September 14, 2024.
Just after 3 a.m., on Saturday, September 14, 2024, officers responded to a house in the 2200 block of Ives St. in reference to a homicide.
When they got there, they found Barnes' body inside the house.
An autopsy was ordered by Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr.
Beaumont Police Department's Crimes Against Persons detectives, in coordination with the Narcotics Unit, led the investigation.
