NEDERLAND, Texas — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people who allegedly robbed a Nederland gas station.
On Tuesday, September 3, Jefferson County deputies found the two robbery suspects and their vehicle at a nearby RV Park.
Detectives arrested 20-year-old Carley Fowler, of Nederland, and 20-year-old Cole Schroeder, of Beaumont.
On Monday, September 2 at 10:28 p.m., an aggravated robbery took place at the Citgo Gas Station, located on Highway 69, n Nederland.
Surveillance video showed that a masked man and woman walked into the store. The man was armed with a rifle. He pointed the rifle at the clerk and demanded money. He then got into a struggle with the clerk over the rifle.
The suspects were unable to get the money from the register and ran out the door. The clerk sustained injuries during the struggle and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Evidence from the robbery was found, including the rifle. Both were charged with aggravated robbery and their bonds were set at $75,000.00.
