Tip leads to Beaumont arrest of Houston man in connection with January murder in Houston

He was arrested without incident after a Crime Stoppers tip was received.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest in Beaumont this week of a Houston man wanted for a January 2023 murder in Houston.

Jesus Joseph Jones, 19, of Houston, was arrested Tuesday morning at about 9 a.m. in Beaumont by U.S. Marshals.

Jones was wanted on a capital murder warrant in the drive-by shooting death of Warren White, 17, on January 8, 2023, according to Jim Fulcher of the U.S. Marshals Office.

He was arrested without incident according to Fulcher.

Houston Police have been looking for him since the fatal shooting that happened in the 12600 block of Ashford Meadow Drive  on the west side of Houston.

A Crime Stoppers tip lead to jones' arrest Fulcher said.

Jones is currently being held in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where his bond is set at $1,000,000.
