Three suspects arrested, charged after burglarizing vehicles in Beaumont neighborhood

Burglarized vehicles were located nearby along with evidence that linked the suspects to multiple auto burglaries and an auto theft.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Three suspects were arrested after being caught burglarizing vehicles in the Barrington Heights neighborhood in Beaumont. 

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:41 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the area of Truxton Lane and Dante Lane in reference to a suspicious person, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.

The caller advised that three males were prowling vehicles. When officers got there, they searched the neighborhood, but did not locate anyone. 

Officers continued to check nearby neighborhoods whenever they found the three suspects near Devonshire Drive and Rigby Street.

Burglarized vehicles were found nearby along with evidence that linked the suspects to multiple auto burglaries and an auto theft, according to the release. 

One suspect was also in possession of a firearm. 

Following the investigation, the stolen vehicle was released back to the owner. 

The suspects were transported to the Jefferson County Jail. 

Jaden Horde, 18, was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

Jakorey Grant, 20, was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

Victor Stotts, 19, was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:41 a.m, Beaumont Police responded to the area of Truxton Ln and Dante Ln in the Barrington Heights neighborhood in reference to a suspicious person. The caller advised that three black males were prowling vehicles. Officers arrived in the area and searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone. Officers then began checking nearby neighborhoods, at which time they located and detained 3 possible suspects near Devonshire and Rigby. Burglarized vehicles were located nearby as well as evidence that linked the suspects to multiple auto burglaries and an auto theft. One suspect was also in possession of a firearm. Following the investigation, the stolen vehicle was released back to the owner. The suspects were transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
