BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police arrested three Port Arthur men Wednesday on aggravated robbery charges after catching them in the act at a north Beaumont home.
Police arrested Edward Brown, 19, Jordan Jones, 19 and Kenrell Abraham, 27, all of Port Arthur, on charges of aggravated robbery.
Brown and Abraham were both also charged with evading arrest. Brown was also charged with resisting arrest and theft of property according to jail records.
They were all booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where their bonds were set Thursday morning.
- Edward Brown: $233,000
- Jordan Jones: $225,000
- Kenrell Abraham: $228,000
On Wednesday Officers responded to a home in the 4800 block of Steelton St after a caller told dispatchers two armed men were robbing multiple people in a front yard.
The caller told dispatchers the armed men eventually forced the victims inside the home after taking their wallets according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.
When officers got there the men were taking televisions from the home but ran when police arrived the release said.
One suspect was caught after a brief foot chase and another was caught behind the wheel of a Dodge Nitro nearby police said.
The third suspect tried to hide under a shed a block away but was discovered and arrested with the help of a police dog.
During the arrests police found the guns used in the robbery as well as stolen property according to the release.
