BEAUMONT, Texas — Lamar University sent an alert Sunday at 6 p.m. asking students to shelter in place after reports of armed gunmen on campus grounds.
According to LU, the three individuals were spotted at Gentry Hall wearing all black with face masks.
All three are thought to have guns.
The three individuals then left the area traveling in an unknown direction.
The Beaumont Police Department arrived at scene quickly after and believe the gunmen have fled the campus.
Thankfully no one was injured and LU has officially given the all clear.
