He was sentenced as part of a plea agreement for three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child.
In May 2023 the then 12-year-old victim told her mother that Hamer, then 18, had sexually assaulted her multiple times, according to file stories.
In addition to 10 years on probation Hamer must pay a $500 fine, complete a sexual offender program and will be forbidden to have any social media accounts according to testimony during sentencing.
One charge of sexual assault of a child and one charge of indecency with a child were dropped as part of his plea agreement.
If Hamer completes his probation with no violations he will have no conviction on his record but if he violates he probation he will serve 10 years for each charge.
Judge West also ordered Hamer to have “absolutely no contact” with the victim or the victim’s family.
