SILSBEE, Texas — Two women were arrested in Silsbee in a meth house bust.
On Friday March 8, 2024, investigators with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Division got a search warrant for a private residence located at 7744 Cansler Road, according to a Hardin County Sheriff's Office news release.
Hardin County Justice of the Peace Rod Ousley signed off on the warrant to search for illicit drugs.
During the search, investigators found around 20 grams of methamphetamine along with marijuana and a firearm, according to the release.
Two women were arrested and taken the Hardin County Jail.
Jayme Lorene Slankard, 51, of Silsbee, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and released from jail on a $10,000 bond, the release states.
Tonya Lynn Gore, 41, of Silsbee, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. She has been released from jail after posting $32,000 in total bonds, according to the release.
The traffic had increased at the residence recently, leading neighbors to complain, Sheriff Mark Davis said.
