ORANGE, Texas — City of Orange Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl at an apartment in the city on Sunday evening.
Police were sent, just before 6 p.m. Sunday, to an apartment at the Fox Run Apartments at 2600 Allie Payne Rd. for a reported shooting, according to a news release from the Orange Police Department.
When they got there, officers found that a 15-year-old girl had been fatally shot.
Other juveniles were at the apartment when officers arrived and are cooperating with investigators, according to the release.
None of their names are being released at this time because of their ages.
An autopsy has been ordered on the girl by Orange County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins.
The police department's criminal investigation division is continuing to investigate the teen's death.
