Jefferson County Sheriff's Office asking for public's help to identify, find aggravated robbery suspect

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is sharing information to ask the public for help in identifying an aggravated robbery suspect.

On October 3, around 4:40 a.m., an aggravated robbery took place at Hamshire Quick Mart located at 24061, Hwy 73, in Hamshire.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the store wearing a surgical mask, a white or light-colored hoodie, dark pants, and light tan boots (possibly Timberland brand).

The suspect had a handgun and pointed it at the clerks and customers. The suspect demanded money, walked behind the cashier counter, collected the money from the cash register, and left the store. The suspect drove east on Hwy 73 toward Port Arthur, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
