Seven indicted following Port Arthur raid leading to stolen AR-15, drugs and 'POLICE' vest

The July search warrant led to the discovery of cocaine, guns and what is believed to be marijuana

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Seven people were indicted following a July raid in Port Arthur where investigators say they found drugs, firearms and a 'stolen rifle-resistant' vest with the word 'POLICE' on it.

A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Dominick Mack, 21, Christopher Como, 17, Davon Achord, 18, Jeanetta Loya, 39, Christopher Delasbour, 17, Ismael Loya, 38 and Brenden Shields, 18, on organized criminal activity charges.

Investigators say Shields was identified as a suspect in an armed home invasion robbery in the 3600 block of Normandy Avenue on June 27. The documents say he was later identified as a member of 1224 Gang.

Police say he was identified, along with three others, on a security video showing a firearm being taken from a vehicle in Port Neches.

On July 31, a search warrant was carried out in the 4100 block of Charlotte Dr. leading to the discovery of 3.23 grams of cocaine packaged for individual sale, firearms, a stolen AR-15, scales and baggies according to a probable cause affidavit. Investigators also recovered the stolen vest, along with a substance believed to be marijuana according to the documents.
