Seabrook man sentenced to 19.5 years in federal prison for meth trafficking

45-year-old Justin Hall McSpadden pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Seabrook man was sentenced to federal prison for trafficking drugs in the Eastern District of Texas.

45-year-old Justin Hall McSpadden pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. On October 20, 2023 he was sentenced to 19 and half years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone.

On October 1, 2021, McSpadden sold four ounces of methamphetamine for $1,200.00 to a person at the Petro Truck Stop located at 5405 Walden Road in Beaumont according to information presented in court.

Later that day, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on McSpadden on Cardinal Drive in Beaumont according to an Eastern District of Texas news release.

During the traffic stop, law enforcement found another two ounces of methamphetamine inside a toolbox and a handgun on the driver’s side floorboard according to the release.

McSpadden was indicted and charged with federal drug trafficking violations.

The case was investigated by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Anderson.
