Port Arthur woman still in hospital after Monday night hit-and-run

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A 51-year-old Port Arthur woman is still in the hospital after a Monday night hit-and-run in Port Arthur.

The hit-and-run happened around 9 p.m. in the 5000 block of Gulfway Drive. Port Arthur Police and City Ambulance responded.

The woman sustained serious injuries, according to an officer at the scene that spoke to 12News.

Several neighbors on the scene complained to 12News crew at the scene about how it is dark in the area. There are no street lights and a lot of people leave the apartments to walk to a nearby store and cars drive by very fast.

Police are reviewing video for a suspect vehicle description.
