PORT ARTHUR, Texas — The Port Arthur Police Department is investigating a shooting involving two people.
The police received a 911 phone call in reference to a shooting along Highway 73 near Fish or Hunt in Port Acres around 5:45 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived, they found out that two people had exchanged gunfire at the scene.
One witness confirmed with 12News that she heard at least eight shots fired, and children were outside at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.
The two individuals left before the police arrived.
Investigators with the police department are following leads to locate the two people involved.

On 05-11-20 at approximately 5:46 pm PAPD dispatch received a 9-1-1 call of a shooting at the location of 3000 W-HWY 73.
Upon arrival Officers learned that gunfire had been exchanged between 2 individuals. Both subjects had left the scene prior to Officers arrival.
Investigators with PAPD are actively following leads in an attempt to locate the persons involved in this incident.
