BEAUMONT, Texas — A man is facing aggravated assault charges after Port Arthur Police say he fired shots at a woman inside a car on Wednesday.
Horace Minnard III was arrested after the victim identified him to police as the suspect according to a Port Arthur Police Department news release.
Police say the two knew each other, and the woman received minor injuries according to police.
It happened in the 800 block of Charleston Ave. Minnard is facing aggravated assault charges.
The shots were fired around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday morning near the intersection of 8th and Charleston.
Officers are continuing to investigate.

On 2/19/20 at approximately 10:14 AM, Officers’ with the Port Arthur Police Department responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the 800 block of Charleston Ave. Officers arrived and found a female victim, who advised while driving in the 800 block of Charleston Ave., a known male subject fired several shots into her vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries in this incident. The victim identified the suspect in this shooting to police, who was located a short time later and placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault.
The suspect was identified as 35-year-old, Horace Minnard III. He was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division.
