PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Three Port Arthur men were arrested after a traffic stop lead to a drug bust.
On Wednesday, April 10 officers with the Port Arthur Police Department’s Crime Response Team (CRT) and members of the Narcotics & Guns Unit made the traffic stop.
The CRT has been working for several months under a Project Safe Neighborhood grant, which resulted in this drug bust. One of the most important objectives of the grant is to take guns away from those individuals involved in criminal activity, and make neighborhoods safer.
The men were arrested for possession of a controlled substance after officers found vapes containing THC oil which is a felony offense, according to PAPD.
Two handguns were also found in the vehicle.
Gun charges are pending for all three men.
