PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A Port Arthur man is being indicted for sexual assault of a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Jesse Jesus Salinas, 83, is being charged with multiple child sex crimes.
In 2015, a report was made to an officer working security at a middle school of possible indecency with a child. The first victim's phone was confiscated and messages were found describing what was believed to be indecency.
Then nine years later in 2024, the first victim made an outcry against Salinas, saying that he sexually assaulted her multiple times when she was 15-years-old.
In 2019, a report was filed against Salinas involving two more male victims. The case was investigated and one of the victims admitted to being sexually assaulted by Salinas but decided not to press charges at the time. The case was closed in 2021.
When the new case against Salinas was being investigated in 2024, the second victim was contacted and asked if he would like to reconsider pressing charges against Salinas, which he did.
The second victim told investigators that the sexual assaults took place over an eight year period,- ranging from when he was five to 13-years-old.
