Police seeking public's help with locating 'person of interest' in connection with murder of Beaumont man

Officers say the person of interest is Shanna King, who appears to be 40 to 49 years of age with a noticeable scar on her lip.

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police are asking the public for help with locating a person of interest in connection with the September 14 homicide that occurred in the 2200 block of Ives St. 

Officers say the person of interest is Shanna King who appears to be 40 to 49 years of age with a noticeable scar on her lip.

She is known to frequent hotels in the area of 11th Street and I-10, according to police. Detectives would like to speak with her.

Just after 3 a.m., on September 14, 2024, officers were sent to a house in the 2200 block of Ives St. where they found Ronald Barnes' body inside.

Police have already spoken to at least one other "person of interest" in connection with the homicide.

Beaumont Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Detectives, in coordination with the Narcotics Unit, are leading the investigation. 

Police ask that if anyone has information on King's whereabouts to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.
