BEAUMONT, Texas — Police in Beaumont are looking for a man they say attempted to fool tellers at a Beaumont credit union with a fake passport and nice shirt and tie.
Nearly a month ago on Monday, March 13, 2023, police say that a man wearing a shirt and tie attempted to cash a forged check at Education First Federal Credit Union on Eastex Freeway in Beaumont according to a Beaumont Police Department Facebook post.
Police say he dressed nicer in an attempt to try to fool tellers and that often busting someone in a case like this can help lead police to a larger criminal organization.
The photos released by police are the best quality available.
If you can identify the man or have any information police ask that you call them at (409) 832-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
