PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Port Arthur Police have arrested two people who are suspects to be involved in the December 2023 shooting that killed one woman at an apartment complex.
Around 12:30 p.m. PAPD arrested Dyllion Garner, 22, of Port Arthur. He has charged with manslaughter, according to Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso.
Police have also Lexie Bennett, 19, of Port Arthur, for hindering apprehension in connection to Garner’s case. Chief Duriso said Bennett was helping Garner hide.

Duriso said the arrests were the result of hard work by detectives, patrol officers and Jefferson County deputies who made the arrest.
Around 8 p.m. December 11 at the Heatherbrook Apartments in the 8000 block of Heatherbrook Trail, witnesses told 12News crew at the scene that they heard shots fired from outside the fence and a woman was struck at an apartment complex.
The victim was Angela Davidson, 40, of Port Arthur, Duriso previously told 12News.
A neighbor told 12News crew at the time of the shooting that they heard multiple gunshots and then saw a woman had been shot.
