BEAUMONT, Texas — Last week Port Arthur Police arrested a Port Arthur resident after finding several grams of suspected crack cocaine at his home.
The Port Arthur Police Department's Narcotics and Guns Unit served a search warrant at a home in the 2200 block of 19th St last week according to a Sunday night facebook post by police.
During the search, narcotics detectives found about 6.7 grams of what they suspect to be crack cocaine, according to the post.
Jakari Crout, who is the sole resident of the home, was arrested on a narcotics possession charge the post said.
Crout was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility where he was booked on a charge of possession of four or more grams of a controlled substance in penalty group one, according to the post.
He was released from the jail on a $20,000 bond on June 28, 2024, according to jail staff.
