One person shot in Little Woodrow's parking lot

Witnesses say that the victim of the shooting was erratically driving around the parking lot before nearly hitting a group of people.

BEAUMONT, Texas — At 2:00 a.m. Saturday, two off duty Beaumont Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the Little Woodrow's parking lot.

The officers who were working at Little Woodrow's that night heard the shots ring out and quickly responded as the suspected shooter drove away from the scene.

Witnesses say that the victim of the shooting was erratically driving around the parking lot before nearly hitting a group of people.

Then someone in the group chased after the vehicle and began shooting at it.

At least one of the shots went through the vehicle and hit the driver, who was then taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing, anyone with information is urged to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234 or Crime stoppers at  409-833-TIPS.
