NEDERLAND, Texas — Jefferson County deputies are looking for a "porch pirate" who is accused of stealing a package from a home in early September.
Video from the home's Ring doorbell camera captured a man wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt, white shoes and a black ball cap swiping the package according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
In the video he can be seen jumping out of a silver or gray SUV that police say could be an Acura MDX and then running across the lawn to the porch of a home in the 2700 block of Vernon St.
The package contained a pair of Nike shoes according to deputies.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is asking that anyone who may recognize the suspect or know anything about them to call detectives or Crime Stoppers.
This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
