JASPER, Texas — Multiple Jasper law enforcement agencies arrested a man after an investigation into the distribution of large amounts of methamphetamine in Jasper County.
John Dereck Bean was arrested after a search was conducted at his motel room.
On November 9, 2023 Jasper Police Narcotics Division detectives, Jasper Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division deputies and Jasper Police Department patrol officers responded to the Sunrise Inn in Jasper after a lengthy investigation.
They searched the motel room after probable cause was obtained and found a large amount of methamphetamine along with materials used for distribution.
Law enforcement also found a handgun among other equipment.
Bean was arrested for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one, which is more than one but less than four grams. This a first degree felony.
