ORANGE COUNTY, Texas — A search of an Orange County home Monday led to the discovery of drugs and the arrest of two women.
On Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at around 1:20 pm, the Orange County Narcotics Division, with the help of Orange County SWAT, executed a targeted search warrant at the 1100 block of Henry St. in Orange County.
During the search, authorities found a "substantial amount" of meth and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Kerri Smith, 49, and Charitta Harley, 33, were arrested on their outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants.
They were also charged with possession of a controlled substance, which is a state jail felony.
"This operation and coordination underscores the dedication of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community by actively addressing drug-related offenses," officials said in a news release.
