BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police responded to a call about a shooting on Campus Street on Friday evening.
At least one man was shot in the South Park neighborhood.
The officers were sent to the 800 block of Campus on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 4:35 p.m., in regards to an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The officers found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk.
EMS arrived shortly after and took the victim to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He received medical attention and is stable.
Police say that a dispute over an aggressive dog in the parking lot escalated and the victim was shot multiple times.
Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and still taking statements.
