BEVIL OAKS, Texas — One of four men accused of robbing a Bevil Oaks store in February 2018 was sentenced to 10 years in prison for aggravated robbery.
Christopher LeBron Henderson, 25, was sentenced for robbing the Dollar General in Bevil Oaks.
The community was still dealing with the aftermath of Harvey, and prosecutors say the robbers took advantage of the store's cameras being down. They say staffing was also low when they held up the store.
Police were led on a chase that ended in Sour Lake, where they took the suspects into custody.
Henderson pleaded guilty with a ten-year cap at sentencing. Criminal District Judge John Stevens sentenced Henderson on Monday.
He will be eligible for parole after serving five years.
Shedrick DeBlanc was previously sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Co-defendants Mario Hurtado and Joseph Simpson have not yet gone to trial.
