Man robs customer at gunpoint, no injuries reported

The customer was not injured, but police said 'he was in fear of his life.'

PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Police are looking for a gunman who robbed a man in Port Arthur.

Port Arthur police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Gulfway Drive regarding a robbery that had happened Tuesday around 9:15 a.m. 

Upon arrival, police were informed that a man approached a customer with a handgun and demanded money.

The robber left in his vehicle afterward. The customer was not injured, but police said "he was in fear for his life."

Port Arthur police said the incident is actively under investigation.

On 4/14/20 at approximately 9:12 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Gulfway Dr. in reference to a Robbery that just occurred. 

As Officers arrived, they were advised a male subject, unknown race, approached a customer with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled the area in a vehicle. The complainant was not injured during the incident, but was in fear of his life.

This incident is actively under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Port Arthur Police Department.
