20-year-old man indicted for shooting at teen girl, hitting Beaumont fire station

BEAUMONT, Texas — A 20-year-old man has been indicted for a shooting at a convenience store, with multiple shots hitting a fire station.

Kindall Anderson, of Beaumont, was indicted by a grand jury for aggravated assault and deadly conduct.

On August 18, Beaumont Police officers were sent to the 4900 block of Helbig Rd. for a "deadly conduct" call around 3 a.m.

During the investigation, detectives were able to find a suspect vehicle in surveillance footage at the Conoco station at 3710 E. Lucas.

A man was seen leaving the passenger side of the vehicle and entering the convenience store.

Detectives learned that there were three victims walking in front of the fire station at the time of the shooting. Detectives spoke to one of the victims, a 16-year-old girl and her mother.

The 16-year-old told detectives she saw Anderson get out of the vehicle from the passenger side. She said that Anderson shot at her and another victim.

The 16-year-old was able to identify Anderson.
