PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A male victim received a stab wound to his chest near a Port Arthur apartment complex, police said.
Justice of the Peace Judge Gilliam pronounced a 24-year-old male victim dead near the Pebble Creek Apartments in the 4200 block of Jimmy Johnson Boulevard.
Detectives arrested a female subject and charged her with murder. Police say their investigation revealed that both the victim and the suspect were in a relationship.
Identities of the victim and suspect have not been released at this time. The investigation is still ongoing, police say.

At 7:02 a.m., PAPD dispatch received a 9-1-1 call advising of a subject down at the location of 4251 Jimmy Johnson Blvd, Pebble Creek Apartments. Upon arrival Officers located a male subject who was deceased at the scene.
This victim had received a stab wound to his chest. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division arrived on scene and placed a female subject under arrest for the charge of Murder.
She was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional facility for proper booking. Subsequent investigation revealed that both victim and suspect were in a relationship.Identities of both victim and suspect will be released at a later date and time.
This Incident is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division with the Port Arthur Police Department.
