BEAUMONT, Texas — A man is in custody after leading Beaumont Police on a chase that ended in a wreck in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Beaumont Police Officer Carol Riley tells 12News the chase started just after 5 p.m. at the downtown distributor following an attempted traffic stop.
Officers tried to stop a suspected impaired driver, but he kept going.
Police chased the driver into Louisiana, where he crashed at College St. and Ryan St. in Lake Charles.
The suspect was arrested by police in Louisiana and is facing charges there.
Charges with the Beaumont Police Department are pending.
