JASPER, Texas — A 52-year-old Lufkin man was sentenced this week to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting two children.

Kevin Easley, 52, of Lufkin, was set to stand trial this week in a Jasper County courtroom in the 2021 sexual assault of a girl under the age of 14.

He was also set to be tried in another sexual assault of a child case involving a different victim.

Before jury selection began Monday morning, November 18, 2024, Easley pleaded guilty to a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He also pleaded guilty in the other case.

Easley was sentenced to 10 years in prison in each case but because the sentences will run concurrently he will only serve up to 10 years in prison.

This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
