JASPER, Texas — A Livingston man has pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend in November 2023.
William Christian Thomas pleaded guilty in Jasper County to first degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Rosalin Lewis.
Thomas received 60 years in prison as a part of the plea agreement.
Lewis was a mother of three children under the age of 6.
Lewis' body was found in November 2023 after Jasper Police officers were called to the Myrtis Village Apartments in the 200 block of Myrtis street at about 4 a.m., according to Jasper Police.
Police say her cause of death was "blunt force trauma."
Lewis was a cheerleading coach, who along with her mom, Schwanda Scott, founded "Stunning Stars Cheer & Dance, while Lewis was a still a senior in high school according to a GoFundMe page.
She had dreamed of becoming a veterinarian tech as well as continuing to lead and coach at Stunning Stars.
Lewis also coached at Jasper Youth Cheer and offered private coaching according to the GoFundMe which was posted by her mom.
She was described as "warm and inviting to anyone who crossed her path."
