Jasper woman arrested for allegedly stealing money from Meals on Wheels agency

JASPER, Texas — A Jasper woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing from the agency that supplies Meals on Wheels.

Adrienna Hudson, 57, served as the executive Director of the Jasper County Committee on Aging. This is the agency that supplies Meals on Wheels, which delivers food to senior citizens.

Hudson was arrested after accusations that she stole more than $16,000 from the organization by making improper charges on is credit cards.

Keith Daniels, the president of the Jasper County Committee on Aging, said that during a recent audit by the board they noticed that someone had been making unauthorized withdraws from their account at Southside Bank.

Daniels says that there were 58 ATM withdraws made from the account that were not authorized, totaling $16,325. The account is used for miscellaneous items and supplement meals.

Using the last four digits of the card used, investigators were able to track the unauthorized withdraws to Hudson.

She has been indicted on 10 counts of credit card abuse. The indictments were handed up on July 11.
