KIRBYVILLE, Texas — A Jasper County woman is in jail for allegedly shooting at her neighbor, who says she has harassed him for years.
Anthony Barnett tells 12news his neighbor, Alishia Robins, has been harassing him and making racist comments for years.
Barnett, who lives in Jasper County about 10 miles west of Kirbyville, says he has made multiple complaints to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office about Robins in the past few years
Everything came to a head on Friday, July 12, 2024, when Barnett says Robins fired multiple rounds at him while he was sitting in his pickup truck.
Robins shot at him after accusing him of stealing hay from her pasture, Barnett asserts.
"I'm blessed a bullet didn't hit me. I'm blessed, trust me," Barnett said
While he wasn't hit by the gunfire, his truck and trailer were left with multiple bullet holes and a flat tire.
"Everything was going through my mind, like I can't believe this is happening in this day and time," Barnett said.
Deputies arrested Robins Thursday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was arraigned Friday morning and her bond was set at $100,000.
By midday Friday she had been released on bond, according to a jailer.
