JASPER COUNTY, Texas — A Jasper County Deputy was reportedly arrested for driving with a suspended license Tuesday according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers reportedly pulled over 28-year-old William Treadway Saturday, November 2 for failing to signal a turn at 11 p.m. on Highway 96 near Lela Street within Jasper city limits.
During the stop the trooper reportedly discovered that Treadway may be driving with a suspended license according to DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark.
The trooper then initiated an investigation into the matter. However, there was not sufficient information to make an arrest at the time of the traffic stop and Treadway was released according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
After an investigation was completed, an arrest warrant was issued for Treadway for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
Treadway later turned himself into the Jasper County Jail Tuesday, November 5.
The Texas Department Public Safety says that there is an ongoing investigation into the matter.
